Opening Prayer Given by the Guest Chaplain:
Good and gracious God, only You can lead us into all truth. Only You can aid us in creating a just and compassionate society. Send forth Your spirit. Enlighten our minds to know what is right.
May Your spirit also give us the strength and conviction to follow Your lead. And when we fail, as we so often do, forgive us, heal us, and help us again to stand and to follow Your way. We make this prayer in Thy holy name. Amen.
