Chaplain Captain Keith Manry
U.S. Air Force, Arlington National Cemetery
Arlington, VA
Date of Prayer: 08/07/2018
Opening Prayer Given by the Guest Chaplain:
Creator who stretched out the spacious skies and makes the eagle sore, we approach Your throne in humility. Your Word says that You place men and women like those in this assembly in positions of
authority. May each of these remain humble in their position and grateful for the immense responsibility and trust to them extended.
God, be to these servants of the people a constant source of wisdom. May the hallmark of their decisions be righteousness and the fruits of their labor be justice and mercy. Fill them with Your spirit and bless them for their service.
Finally, God, be with the people on whose behalf we gather. From coast to coast and in places far away, be with those who call this land home. Heal divisions and bind wounds. Strengthen us. And when the Sun sets on Old Glory, may we be a land that blesses You. Amen.
