Opening Prayer Given by the Guest Chaplain:
We are one Nation under God. And You, O God, call us to be united in each other and one in You. Hatred, violence, discord––these all break down the God–image in us and destroy our Nation. Help us to work together for unity; unite us as brothers and sisters. Let Your peace reign in this place and flow throughout this Nation until we are all truly and completely one Nation under God.
We make this prayer in Your holy name. Amen.
