Date of Prayer: 09/07/2021
Opening Prayer Given by the Guest Chaplain:
God of wisdom, God of grace, by the inspiration of Your spirit, we are called to cultivate a bold and boundless love for You and for all of Your beloved creation. In Your divine mystery, You embrace us with abundance and surprise us with blessings. Enliven us this day to proclaim Your goodness in thought, word, and deed.
Continue to bless the work and discernment of this body. Rekindle among us the gifts of reconciliation and trust and draw us not toward might and power, but to the cooperation and forgiveness that can be found in You.
Protect and stand with those that work throughout these halls and grounds. Spread over all of this world the shelter of Your peace.
We thank You, gracious creator, for Your presence in our lives this day and in all of our tomorrows. Transform us with Your passion for justice, guide us with Your pursuit of mercy, and hold us in Your hope and love. Amen.
