Opening Prayer Given by the Guest Chaplain:
God of grace and glory we pray this day for our distinguished Representatives and the Nation they so ably serve.
Equip them with the wisdom, strength and perseverancce needed to bring important issues to closure.
Bless those they love in their times of separation from family and friends.
Bless their staff memebers as they labor to support the honorable men and women they so gallantly serve.
For military men and women deployed in harm's way and their families, we pray your providential protection, comfort and peace.
O Lord, our precious Savior and eternal King, equip leaders across this great land with the wisdom and endurance to meet the challenges ahead.
In your holy Name we pray. Amen.
