Opening Prayer Given by the Guest Chaplain:
Heavenly Father, we come in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
I pray this House and all national leaders will acknowledge Your divine authority, corporately, personally, and will understand their ultimate accountability to You, now and in time to come.
I pray they and we will again recognize You, our only true source of blessing.
The truth thunders, no matter how softly spoken, in the conscience of all. Let Your truth be preeminent in this House, that which is not true
fully revealed. Your Word is true, our only plumb line.
Cause leaders to know the way and how to receive and pour Your healing oil upon this Nation. Establish truth no one can refute. You are truth.
Cause life to be honored. Your love conceived us. You are life. You, Lord, are all these: the way, the truth, the life.
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
