Opening Prayer Given by the Guest Chaplain:
God of all consolation, healer of all wounds, and giver of every good gift, we ask that You pour forth the healing balm of Your grace, mercy, and love. Grant to those who mourn Your comfort. Grant to the fearful Your hope. Grant to the lost and confused Your clear and guiding light.
Heal the brokenhearted and the hardhearted. Let the warmth of Your love melt the wounds of hatred, bitterness, and division. Let the might of Your love reveal Your goodness, truth and beautiful present in each and all of our brothers and sisters.
Sustain us this day in our efforts so that, in all we do, You the light of glory may be made manifest.
We praise You now and forevermore. Amen.
