Opening Prayer Given by the Guest Chaplain:
Almighty God, we give thanks for this Nation and for the Representatives who have answered the call to serve its people.
As we mark the recent anniversary of our country's founding, renew in us a grateful appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy and the duties they entail.
Grant our Representatives wisdom, humility, and steadfast hearts as they seek the common good. Bless them, their families, their staffs, and all who serve in this House, and continue to watch over this Nation with Your gracious hand.
