Opening Prayer Given by the Guest Chaplain:
We give You thanks, good and gracious God, for the blessings of this day and for the privilege of caring for this Nation that we call home.
Watch over and protect our Representatives in Congress, who have been entrusted with serving our country and her people. Bless their families and staffs and all who labor in this Capitol. Sustain them in their work, keep them mindful of those they serve, and hold us ever in Your loving care.
